SPARTAN VOLLEYBALL COACHES
Austin Stanley, High School Head Coach
Despite having spent most of his high school years on the basketball court, Austin has had a passion for volleyball from a young age. In college, he played for the University of Oklahoma men’s club team, and continues to play competitive court and grass volleyball around Denver. As a coach, Austin is passionate about teamwork, effort, and accountability, and he always looks for ways to make games and practices fun, engaging, and constructive for all players. While not on the volleyball court, you can find Austin listening to Taylor Swift or watching Friends.
Mitchell Clough, High School Assistant Coach
Mitch was introduced to the sport of volleyball by his father, who was a coach and referee. Since then, Mitch has played as much indoor and grass volleyball as can find, including playing 4 years for the University of Oklahoma men’s club team. Mitch’s coaching style emphasizes perfecting technique and understanding volleyball strategy. When he isn’t playing volleyball, you can find him playing his piano or walking his dogs.

AT THE HEART OF DENVER WALDORF SPORTS
Our athletics program aims to reclaim youth sports for what they once were and always should have been: fun, communal and participatory. There are no tryouts or cuts, even through high school. Instead, each athlete is inspired to reach their highest potential, contributing to the team through enthusiasm, hard work, grace, and resilience. Every athlete has their place on our teams.
