Financial Aid
The Denver Waldorf School is committed to economic diversity, and offers two types of financial aid: tuition adjustment (TA) and scholarships. Learn more on TA eligibility requirements, how to apply, and deadlines below.
Tuition Adjustment Eligibility (K-12 Students)
Current and prospective families may apply for tuition adjustment if their students are in:
- Final year of kindergarten (enrolled for 5 full days)
- Grades 1-12
TA Application Deadlines
We accept tuition adjustment applications throughout the school year. However, funds are limited and are awarded on a first come first served basis.
Qualifying Amounts
The typical range of TA offered to eligible families is 5-50% of tuition, minus the class fund portion. The class fund covers costs incurred for class trips and other class-related expenses.
How to Apply
The 3-step process to apply for tuition adjustment involves:
- School enrollment
- Online TADS financial aid application
- Meeting with the Tuition Adjustment Committee
School Enrollment
For returning DWS students, please check the Tuition Adjustment box on your unsigned Tuition and Enrollment Contract, and submit it to Admissions Director Karlena Alonso Lamm as soon as possible.
For prospective students, please check the Tuition Adjustment box on your unsigned Tuition and Enrollment Contract, and submit it to Admissions Director Karlena Alonso Lamm as soon as possible.
TADS Financial Aid Application
We use TADS Financial Aid Assessment to collect and verify applicants’ financial data. Doing so helps DWS ensure consistency and objectivity in the evaluation process. Steps include:
- Complete the online TADS application and submit the application fee.
- Upload supporting documents to TADS such as tax forms, W2s, and schedules. This requirement applies regardless of tax extensions.
*Returning DWS students must be in good financial standing with the Business Office in order to be eligible to apply for TA.
TA Committee Review
It takes approximately 2 weeks for TADS to process each application. Once received, the Tuition Adjustment Committee will review.
In some cases, the Tuition Adjustment Committee will request a meeting with applicants in order to clarify questions concerning their TADS application. If requested, the meeting becomes a mandatory part of the TA process.
