Scholarships

Committed to economic diversity, The Denver Waldorf School offers financial aid through scholarships and tuition adjustment. Learn more on eligibility requirements, how to apply, and award specifics below. 

Please note the following application deadlines for the 2024-2025 school year:

  •  Currently enrolled students — 2 weeks after contract is signed
  •  Prospective students — 2 weeks after acceptance

The Denver Waldorf School Scholarships

We offer the following:

  • Need-based scholarships—Open to prospective and currently enrolled students
  • Merit-based scholarships—Open to currently enrolled high school students

Scholarship award amounts depend on available funds allocated in any given year and are not guaranteed year-to-year.

Merit-Based Scholarships

We award our merit-based scholarships to currently enrolled DWS high school students who are dynamic, compassionate, and striving students who have displayed excellence in academics, the arts, and/or athletics. The two types of scholarships in this category include:

Blue Merit Scholarships — Current DWS 8th grade students applying to The Denver Waldorf High School
Gold Merit Scholarships — Current DWS high school students in grades 9-11

Need-Based Scholarships

We award need-based scholarships to those who demonstrate financial need through the Tuition Adjustment application. The two types of scholarships in this category include:

Joan Condon Family — Current and new DWS students (all ages)

Diversity & Inclusivity — Current and new DWS students (all ages)

General eligibility requirements for need-based scholarships include:

  • Demonstrated commitment to The Denver Waldorf School
  • Demonstrated financial need via the TADS application process*
  • Good financial standing with the DWS Business Office

*DWS does not charge a scholarship application fee, however, applicants will incur a $35 online application fee through TADS. Additionally, in order to apply for tuition adjustment, students must at least be in their last year of kindergarten and enrolled full-time.

How to Apply

The steps and requirements to apply for one or more DWS scholarships may vary. Please find full details on each by clicking the application links below. Please also note that all scholarships are awarded annually; all students must reapply each school year in order to be considered.

Need-Based Scholarships

  1. Submit a completed Tuition Adjustment (TA) application and $35 fee via TADS
  2. Submit a completed application for either or both scholarships:

Award Notification

Our Admissions Office will notify students and families about scholarship awards by sending updated contracts with any award amounts and updated total tuition.
