3rd - 8th grades  

$250 flat fee (Max 10)

Participants will be able to learn what it takes to become a Jedi, Pirate or a musketeer through an introduction to the modern sport of fencing. Students will learn the fundamentals of fencing in a safe and fun environment using lightweight equipment made for young children. Led by Chris Sauthoff from the Denver Fencing Foundation.

Sweet Peas is an 8-week session for parents and/or caregivers and children 12 months to 2 ½ years old to experience Waldorf. The warm and simple rhythm guides children and their families through activities such as bread baking, sharing songs and puppet plays, taking time for self care, and of course, play! Parents will have the opportunity to join in discussion around child development, rhythm and family life, and embark in seasonal crafting.

Grades 1-6

Circus club activities offered are tumbling, juggling, tight wire (2’ high), poi, unicycle, hand balancing, and possibly more.  These activities, and others, help integrate the proprioceptive and vestibular systems, spatial awareness and balance to promote healthy physical development.  In today’s screen-filled world, circus skills training offers an engaging alternative in providing opportunities for skilled movement and coordination.  And of course , circus arts are fun!

We will have early dismissal on Thursdays at 2:45. If a student has fallen behind in work or their grade has fallen below a C in any class, they will be required to stay until 3:40 to receive teacher or tutor support, and an email will be sent by the teacher informing the student and family that their attendance is required and they are not eligible for early dismissal. Families can expect an email on Wednesday – if you do not receive an email, your student will be dismissed at 2:45 on Thursdays. All teachers will be available to students from 2:45 to 3:40 pm. If a student would prefer to work at school or needs to meet with a teacher for support, they may remain in the high school. All students are welcome to remain in the school, but if a student chooses to stay and work, they are staying for the full period (until 3:40 pm), and there will be a place for them to sign in. They are required to be in a classroom with a specific teacher, working, not in the gym or any other area of the school.

The first year of parenting can be one of the most beautiful, wondrous, and challenging times. We can relish in the absolute miracle of our child, and at the same time experience isolation, physical and emotional challenges, and adjusting to a new normal. In caregiver/infant classes, we will spend the morning having tea, observing the sweet babies, and discussing developmental phases, nutrition and wellness, sleep, siblings, and most importantly creating a supportive community together. Simple, seasonal crafts will be offered, and are always optional.  This class is for birth to crawlers! Please feel free to contact [email protected] with any questions.
