2020 SUMMER CAMPS at The Denver Waldorf School

Full- & half-day camps for 3 ½ years old through 9th grade

About DWS Summer Camp

Denver Waldorf weekly programs offer students (ECE through entering 9th graders) an enriching, adventure-filled, go-to-bed-tuckered-out summer they won’t soon forget. Ingredients include outdoor play, art, rhythm, mindfulness, creativity, mayhem, snow cones, pooltime, sprinklers and more. Summer as it should be!

Early Childhood (ECE) — Children ages 3 ½-6

The magic of early childhood is kept alive as the children explore a different weekly theme through whimsical story, circle time, simple crafts and activities led by Waldorf ECE teachers. Oodles of outdoor play, included! The rhythm of weekly activity includes: Thursday morning pooltime (onsite), Wednesday afternoon playtime in sprinklers, walks to local parks and Decker library, snow cone Fridays and so much more!

Lower Grades

Children of the lower grades get a taste of freedom as they venture beyond the DWS campus. The daily rhythm includes themed activities and crafts, walks, free play, afternoon jaunts to the Harvard Gulch outdoor pool and all kinds of novelty fun peppered throughout the summer such as snow cone parties, playing in the sprinklers and plenty more!

Upper Grades

Children of the upper grades are inspired to push the envelope with audacity, creativity and imagination.  City-wide exploration, bold adventures and permission to push past their own boundaries will have them stretching into their best selves.
