Block Schedule

One block at a time, students may enroll in 2 categories of classes: Seminar and Arts. During the 2021-22 school year, blocks run 4 weeks according to the following schedule:

  • Block 7 — February 28 through March 25 (Application deadline: February 11, 2022)
  • Block 8 — March 28 through April 29 (Application deadline: March 11, 2022)
  • Block 9 — May 2 through May 27 (Application deadline: April 15, 2022)

Requirements and Steps

Before enrolling students into our À la Carte Program, we want to ensure our unique approach to learning is a fit. Therefore, we require applicants to move through the following four-step process.

High school students may apply online by clicking the button below. Please note the nonrefundable fee of $75 ($150 for international and exchange students), as well as the following application deadlines:

Block 7 — Application deadline: February 11, 2022

Block 8 — Application deadline: March 11, 2022

Block 9 — Application deadline: April 15, 2022

In-person tour & interview

Once we receive and review your application, we will contact you to schedule an in-person interview, math and writing assessment, and tour of our high school. Click the button below to see the full tour schedule.

Enroll

Once accepted, students will receive a contract that must be returned, along with full payment, before the first day of class. Please make checks payable to The Denver Waldorf School. Course costs vary:

Annual Enrollment Fee— $350

Seminar— $1,600

Art— $750

Seminar:

Seminar classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:45am to 12:15pm, and Wednesday 9:05 to 10:40am.

  • Optics (12th)

Art:

Art classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45-3:45pm.

  • Tech Drawing (9th)

Block 8

Seminar:

Seminar classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:45am to 12:15pm, and Wednesday 9:05 to 10:40am.

  • Conics (9th)
  • Acids, Bases, & Salts* (10th)
  • Shakespeare (11th)
  • Faust (12th)

*Lab on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45 to 3:45pm.

Art:

Art classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45 to 3:45pm.

  • Woodworking (9th)
  • Stained Glass (11th)
  • 12th Grade Play (12th)

Block 9

Seminar:

Seminar classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:45am to 12:15pm, and Wednesday 9:05 to 10:40am.

  • Geology (9th)
  • Speech and Debate (10th)
  • Atomic Chemistry* (11th)

*Lab on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45 to 3:45pm.

Art:

Art classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:45 to 3:45pm, except for 12 Grade Play which meets from 8:15 9:10am.
