Julio Garcia
Middle-School Math Teacher
It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as a dedicated teacher at The Denver Waldorf School. My name is Julio Garcia. I was born in Mexico and raised in San Antonio, Texas, which has provided me with a rich cultural background and a deep appreciation for diversity. After graduating from high school, I served in the United States Air Force for 23 years as a linguist, where I learned the importance of discipline, teamwork, and commitment—values that I bring into my classroom every day. I have live in Okinawa, Japan and South Korea, along with several places within the U.S.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Southern New Hampshire University, and this marks my 6th year as a teacher. Throughout my career, I have been committed to fostering a positive and challenging learning environment, one where students feel supported and motivated to achieve their full potential. My background in mathematics has given me a unique perspective on problem-solving, and I strive to help my students develop critical thinking skills that will serve them in all areas of life.
I have been married for 24 years to my wonderful wife, Monica; she is from Mexico City. And, we have two amazing daughters; Abril is a junior at the University of Iowa and Andrea will be a freshman this fall at the University of Colorado, Denver.
Thank you for entrusting me with the opportunity to educate and inspire your children. I look forward to a rewarding year of learning and growth together.
