Night School: Drawing with Tom Clark
February 28 @ 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm
In our Waldorf curriculum, art is integrated into our learning every day – and one art form that you will find throughout all grades is drawing. At first glance, some may view a completed drawing as the final product. However, the lasting benefits of drawing far extend beyond the beauty that is created. It is the process of drawing itself that is the true gift, not just the result. From visual motor integration, spatial intelligence, memory retention and recall, creative cognition, and more – drawing is a skill we can all benefit from.
Long-time Waldorf educator Tom Clark will lead a two-part series for parents to learn how to draw and hear more about our visual arts curriculum at DWS. This will be a journey of drawing through the grades, as you explore form drawing, animal drawing, and perspective drawing. Join in conversation, community, and art!
