Halloween Journey & Día de los Muertos
October 31, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Halloween Journey is a DWS Halloween event for our youngest students, free of fright and full of fun! The 7th Grade crafts a wondrous journey for children from preK up through 3rd Grade to enjoy with stories, skits, riddles, and treats.
Please park in the school parking lot and enter the grades playground through the west gate. Costumes encouraged!
Halloween Parade
Students in the lower grades will first journey through the kindergarten playground to entertain the little ones before heading to Harvard Gulch Park. All will be welcome. More details to come!
Día de los Muertos
In celebration of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on November 1st and 2nd, our Spanish teachers Mckenna Fuentes and Natalia López make a school altar and guide students through a variety of activities. Hear from DWS community member Elvira Sevilla, native of Mexico City, as she shines a light on the traditional rituals during a Zoom session with her son’s class.
