October 13, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Experience Kindergarten at The Denver Waldorf School
The Denver Waldorf ECE Program is structured to provide a gradual transition from the life of the home to the structure of an elementary school. Led by ECE Lead Teacher Krisztina van’t Veer, this experiential morning is open to prospective families who’d like a hands-on experience of our early childhood program.
Date: October 13, 2022
Time: 9-10am
Location: 2100 S. Pennsylvania St., Denver, CO 80210
Morning Schedule
The warm and simple rhythm of this experiential morning in our kindergarten guides children and their families through activities such as:
- Bread baking
- Storytelling through puppetry
- Joyful play
Please note, this event is a hands-on experience and not a tour. Therefore, please contact Admissions Director Karlena Alonso Lamm if you’d like to learn more on our ECE program and the admissions process.
The Waldorf Approach to Education
In our classrooms, children gradually become accustomed to working within a group, listening to stories, interacting with a teacher and following a daily routine, while at the same time being supported in his or her development as an individual through the encouragement of creative play, practical life skills, and artistic opportunities.
Each teacher deeply understands the young child and the need for movement, as well as the child’s devotion to learning about the world through imitating everything he or she experiences. We follow seasonal rhythms and in parallel, honor your child’s gradual transition from home to school and childhood to adulthood.
