Aftercare
Details for Parents & Guardians
A child-led time that opens with unstructured outdoor play, Aftercare transitions to quiet time indoors where students can relax, enjoy a light snack, and also begin their homework. Our Aftercare Room is outfitted with cozy nooks, reading spaces, playhouses, and crafting materials.
Hours
The Denver Waldorf School offers Aftercare for currently enrolled students ages 3½ through 8th grade from 3:45 to 5:30 pm, and 4:30 pm on Fridays.
Rates
Aftercare sign-in costs $10, with every additional hour charged at a rate of $10/hour until 5:30pm (4:30 pm on Fridays). The second hour is rounded up for every 15 minutes. Additionally, we charge families an additional $1/minute for each minute a student is in Aftercare after the 5:30pm closure time.
Please note, Aftercare is a sign-up program. Drop-in students will incur a $5 fee on top of the hourly billing.
What to Bring
In addition to items students bring to class (sunhat, sunscreen, water bottles, etc.) we ask that students also bring inside shoes, appropriate clothing for inclement weather, extra clothes, and extra masks.
Afterschool Clubs
We offer three afterschool clubs for students in the lower grades:
Circus Club
Monday for Grades 1–6 (Session 1: 10/4–11/15)
Capoeira
Friday for Grades 1–6 (Session 1: 10/8–11/12)
Renaissance Adventures
Adventure Quest: Tuesday for Grades 2 through 6 (Session 1: 9/21–10/26; Session 2: 11/2–12/14)
Dungeon Delvers: Thursday for Grades 5 through 8 (Session 1: 9/23–10/28; Session 2: 11/4–12/16)
