2020-2021 Goals

Each year, two co-chairs will determine the focus of the Parent Council, which could include, but is not limited to: parent education, community events, school fundraising, decorating, and external philanthropic projects.

  • Hold Zoom meetings with the parent community to facilitate discussion within each section of the school.
  • Regularly share articles with the parent community to raise awareness as to the relevance of a Waldorf Education in modern times.
  • Class reps will make phone calls to the families in their class to connect and check-in twice throughout the year, in an effort to maintain community connection during COVID.
  • In-person community events have been paused for this COVID year.
  • Classes will provide faculty and staff with packaged goodies once/month to uplift morale and show our appreciation
  • Collaborate with Advancement Coordinator to see how we might support fundraising efforts specifically during COVID year.
  • Co-chairs will attend AWSNA Parent Council Zoom meetings as often as possible to collaborate and share with other Waldorf Schools around other Parent Council initiatives.
