The DWS Parent Council serves the School by appointing class representatives as a point of connection for new families, and strives to enrich family lives through education pertaining to Waldorf education and Anthroposophy. Parent Council cultivates community and provides parents with access to the greater school community and governing bodies through the information, planning, and communication shared quarterly meetings and various activities.
For the 2020-2021 school year, we meet virtually on a quarterly basis. We meet next on April 13, 2021
Previous to Covid-19, Parent Council met on the first Friday of each month.
Carrie Tentori and Nicole Reinan are Parent Council co-chairs for the 2020-2021 school year. Whether you are interested in joining Parent Council or want to learn more about our group, we’d love to hear from you!
Last Spring, School Director Kelly Church spoke to Parent Council about accreditation.
Each year, two co-chairs will determine the focus of the Parent Council, which could include, but is not limited to: parent education, community events, school fundraising, decorating, and external philanthropic projects.
