Carrie Tentori

Office Manager

Carrie Tentori has been part of The Denver Waldorf School community for over two decades- as a parent for 20 years and in various professional capacities for the last 10, including substitute teaching and now as the Office Manager. Her introduction to Waldorf education came through early exposure to the teaching of Laurie Clark, which left a lasting impression and solidified her desire to raise her children within the Waldorf framework. Before returning to DWS, Carrie spent several years in Paonia, Colorado, where she played a key role in establishing a Waldorf-inspired school through a local homeschool co-op, eventually helping grow it into a full charter school.

While in Paonia, Carrie served as an administrator handling everything from enrollment and billing to festival coordination and curriculum development. She taught language arts to fifth graders, created and led parent/tot programming, and even hosted the Early Childhood program in her home. Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has spent the past 15 years immersed in anthroposophic studies, deepening her understanding of the philosophy behind Waldorf education.

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Carrie has lived in Colorado since 1993. She and her husband have been together for over 40 years and have two children- one a DWS graduate and the other a current high school student. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, hiking, and practicing eurythmy. Carrie finds particular joy in the school’s seasonal festivals, especially the Lantern Walk and Winter Spiral, which she treasures for the reverence and wonder they inspire. Having witnessed the long-term impact of Waldorf education, she deeply values how it nurtures students into confident, compassionate, and capable individuals, ready to meet the world with curiosity and purpose.
