Faustina Pfister
Therapeutic Movement and Integration Specialist
With over two decades of teaching experience and a heartfelt connection to Waldorf education, Faustina Pfister brings warmth, wisdom, and joyful presence to her work with students. Although she first considered becoming a teacher in her twenties, a disheartening visit to a public school temporarily turned her away from the path. It wasn’t until she began searching for a school for her eldest daughter that she rediscovered her calling- along with a cherished memory. As a child, Faustina briefly attended a Waldorf kindergarten in New Jersey, an experience she recalled with deep affection. Only later did she realize the sense of love and belonging she felt there was rooted in the Waldorf approach.
That memory, paired with her daughter’s educational journey, brought Faustina to The Denver Waldorf School, where she began in aftercare, moved into a kindergarten assistant role, and was eventually encouraged by mentors to pursue her Waldorf teacher certification. Since then, she has served in multiple roles at DWS, including class teacher and now as a Movement & Integration Specialist, supporting students through rhythm-based exercises, games, and hands-on learning.
Faustina holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science, a Waldorf Teaching Certificate, an Extra Lesson Certificate, and instructor-level certification in Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training (BRMT). Her teaching is rooted in movement, joy, and curiosity, and she brings a deep reverence for each student’s unique path of growth.
Whether guiding children through reflex integration or sharing laughter during a game, Faustina’s love for experiential learning shines. Her passions- cooking, painting, knitting, embroidery, doll-making, and hiking- infuse her life and work with creativity and purpose. She believes learning should be lifelong and full of wonder.
A poignant memory from her own childhood- sitting on her teacher’s lap as she played piano and sang- continues to guide her teaching philosophy: every child should feel truly seen, loved, and safe. Faustina hopes her students leave her care with confidence in themselves, trust in their bodies, and the joyful independence to meet the world as whole, capable beings.
