Deborah Wolf

Fiber Arts Teacher

Debbie Wolf has been teaching for 35 years and has dedicated much of that time to nurturing students through the fiber arts at The Denver Waldorf School. Her journey into teaching began when she started doing the work itself and discovered a natural affinity for guiding young people. Debbie was first introduced to Waldorf education when her son enrolled at The Denver Waldorf School, and it quickly became a meaningful part of her life and work.

Debbie holds a degree in Sociology from Colorado College and a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. She is a trained Waldorf class teacher and a certified Waldorf Fiber Arts teacher, continually deepening her craft through annual professional development courses in fiber arts. In her classroom, she emphasizes traditional, natural materials such as wool roving, cotton fabric, wool yarn, and wooden needles. With a deep love for fiber arts and a lifelong passion for supporting children’s growth, Debbie brings authenticity and care to every lesson

A longtime resident of Denver, Debbie has lived in Congress Park for 47 years. Her family includes the memory of her beloved son, Andrew Stephenson. In her free time, she enjoys walking and knitting- two quiet activities that mirror the patience and intention she brings to her teaching. Debbieโ€™s early inspirations came from watching her mother sew and knit and learning to weave from her grandmother. She hopes her students leave her class with both the will to work and the capacity to love.
